“The Southern Regional Council of Carpenters endorsed and got out the vote for candidates across the South who will stand up for working people”
Candidates endorsed by the Southern Regional Council of Carpenters were elected at all levels of government across the 11 states represented by the council. These victories are a key step towards building a brighter future for the working people of the South, including the almost 30,000 union members of the SRCC.
SRCC members are avid voters and are just a small picture of the larger population of working families the union represents. Through door-knocking events, member political engagement, and hosting candidate visits at Carpenter Training Centers, the SRCC was able to rally its members to action in this year’s midterm elections and work with candidates who will put working people first.
These elections are a historical moment for the working people of the South, and the nation. We look forward to working with them as we continue to build our cities, communities, and states while investing in the next generation of skilled trades workers.
