Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced On-the-Job Trainer to coach and develop millwrights and carpenters on active job sites. This role focuses on hands-on instruction, safety practices, and improving crew skills and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide hands-on training for millwright and carpentry tasks – Demonstrate proper tool use, installation methods, and layout skills – Support and enforce safety standards (OSHA, company policies) – Assess skill levels and track trainee progress – Assist with onboarding and skill development for new hires – Collaborate with site leadership on training needs
Qualifications
– 5+ years millwright and/or carpentry experience – Prior experience training or mentoring craft workers – Strong knowledge of safety practices and construction standards – Ability to read blueprints and perform layout tasks – Strong communication and coaching skills
