Tuesday, March 24th, the Florida Legislature gained a strong voice for working people with the election of Brian Nathan in Florida’s 14th Senate District.
Nathan, who was endorsed by the Southern Regional Council of Carpenters, won his special election to represent the Tampa area in Tallahassee. Brian has a long history in the labor movement as a member of the IBEW and as Vice President of both IBEW Local 915 and the West Florida Central Labor Council.
Nathan will also be up for reelection in the November midterm elections.
“Brian Nathan has been a strong leader for working people in the Tampa Bay area and across Florida,” said Gary Warren, Political Director for the Southern Regional Council of Carpenters. “We’re incredibly excited to see such a passionate defender of workers’ rights elected to represent working families in Tallahassee.”
