SRCC believes Ager will fight for the working class

The Southern Regional Council of Carpenters is proud to endorse Jamie Ager in his bid for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District. Ager is a fourth-generation farmer and small business owner from western North Carolina who supported community rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Helene.

“Ager has demonstrated a strong commitment to working families and the skilled trades,” said Kavin E. Griffin, Executive Secretary-Treasurer & CEO of the SRCC. “For working families in North Carolina, we believe Ager’s support for the PRO Act, and expansion of Davis-Bacon prevailing wage protections will provide well paying jobs that will help the middle class grow in his district.”

Along with his support for worker protections, Ager believes that we should invest in U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship programs, while going after irresponsible contractors who abuse the tax system through worker misclassification.

The SRCC supports Ager in the upcoming primary and believes he is the best choice to lead western North Carolina.  His commitment to rebuilding his community and his nonpartisan efforts to work with neighbors send a strong message that together we can create a culture and environment that lifts everyone up and creates a future we can be proud of.
